James Warren is an American tax lawyer and a partner at Potomac Law Group, PLLC in Washington, DC. He graduated with first class honors from Cambridge University in England in 1978, and from Harvard Law School, J.D. magna cum laude, in 1990. He has worked at several major U.S. law firms as an international business and tax counsel, and has practiced largely independently since 2011 as Warren Global Law. His practice has included assisting the prosecution at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in Arusha, Tanzania, observing and reporting on a major political trial in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and combating trafficking in persons in Monrovia, Liberia. He currently serves as counsel to various international schools and charitable organizations engaged in overseas relief and educational projects. He is also on the board of LastMile4D, a Washington, DC charity that advocates for women’s issues in developing countries.
